Through hills & valleys
Te Whānau Nut Butter has its roots in the beautiful Te Pōhue where my husband and I live, together with our four young children. Cyclone Gabrielle landed in February 2023, bringing devastation to the Hawke's Bay region. Cut off from access for an extended time, our whānau watched the Te Pōhue neighbourhood, and wider Hawke's Bay community, grow stronger in the midst of such destruction.
Community has since taken on a new meaning for our whānau. We value the place we have within the different community groups we belong to and cherish and support these groups to build resilience and strength.
Our nut butters can be enjoyed by the whole whānau. Super versatile, they can be eaten at breakfast time, are great in snacks, easily added into lunch and dinner meals as well as baking and dessert options too.
Discover community in action on the jars. Our custom, hand drawn designs reflect our love for the outdoors while celebrating the joy of doing life together in beautiful Aotearoa, NZ.

We're local & you'll see it
Local approval - We acknowledge the significance of the Hapū and welcomed their blessing.
We give back to our community too - volunteering our time to make an impact into other's lives.
We reduce our footprint - the use of glass jars is important to us and we encourage our nut butter fans to reuse or return the jars for refilling.
Find us- you'll catch us at local markets around sunny Hawke's Bay.
If you blink for long enough, you may just miss the northern Hawke's Bay settlement of Te Pōhue when travelling along the Napier-Taupō road. Small rural community; big heart.
We lovingly roast our nuts to perfection before they are milled, packaged and labelled on site and sent off from Te Pōhue.
Kia ora- Live well.
